On 24 January, a working meeting took place with the participation of Oleh Fasolia, lead of the education team of the Polaris Programme, Yaroslav Raboshuk, Deputy Executive Director of the Association of Ukrainian Cities, and Mykhailo Honchar, an education expert.

Associations play a key role in the education reform process by providing a platform for discussion, aligning positions, and considering the interests of local communities.

The main focus of the meeting was on the following issues:

  • Establishing a dialogue between local communities and educational institutions;
  • Studying and sharing best practices for reforming senior school education with expert support from the Polaris Programme;
  • Practical steps to improve the quality of educational services in territorial communities.

Participants emphasised the importance of involving communities and taking their specific needs into account during the reform process. Open partnerships with experts and combined efforts are key to the success of the reform, which aims to create modern and accessible education for all.

The meeting with representatives from the Association of Ukrainian Cities was an important step in establishing dialogue and implementing changes focused on the needs of local communities and the development of quality education.
