On 29 January, the first webinar titled "Community Educational Network: Community Needs and Legislative Requirements" was hosted by experts of the Polaris Programme: Oleh Fasolia, Serhii Dyatlenko, and Vyacheslav Dolid. Nearly 400 educators participated in the event, and the Q&A session generated significant interest among the participants.
The webinar focused on the most pressing issues, including:
- Moving away from outdated approaches and introducing modern methods to ensure quality education;
- Forming an effective educational network, taking into account demographic changes and the quality of educational services;
- Optimising the school network and the senior school reform;
- Enhancing the institutional capacity of communities with expert support from the Polaris Programme.
Much attention was also paid to future changes in education financing and regulation, particularly regarding educational subsidies for schools with fewer than 45 students, as well as new requirements for organising both in-person and distance learning.
As noted by webinar participant Polina Taranenko, "There were many meaningful discussions, and most importantly, real cases and solutions. Education in Ukraine is changing, and it's great that there are people making it more accessible to everyone!"
